Carbon Six was founded upon 15 years of excellence at the highest level in automotive engineering and Formula 1; we now specialise in the application of engineering, business process improvement and project management best practice to drive transformational change, for a wide range of clients and businesses within both the public and private sectors.

The automotive industry is going its biggest change transformation since the advent of mass production in the early 1900s. Carbon Six was conceived in 2013 as a specialist engineering company, focusing on the design and development of automotive braking systems and built upon the rich expertise of our founder's extensive experience in the design of carbon brakes for the world's leading Formula 1 teams. Since conception, we've led complete engineering teams and delivered complex engineering projects for major global OEMs including McLaren, Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan; and in countries as far reaching as Sweden and China.
The Carbon Six name was established to maintain a connection to our founder's rich Formula 1 history. But why the Six? Simply put, carbon is the sixth element of the periodic table of the elements and whilst our name remains; our focus has shifted from providing specialist engineering services, towards the application of our engineering, business process and project management expertise to drive transformational change for companies outside of the automotive sector.
Today, the word carbon has both good and bad connotations. At its best; carbon is the most unique element on Earth, being a precursor to all known forms of life. At its worst, it is associated with CO2, global warming and the climate emergency. We apply our extensive technical experience and understanding of engineering and business management best practices to help companies and public sector bodies develop and implement strategies for decarbonising their activities. Whether that is through process and productivity improvements that eliminate process cycle time or waste, or specific initiatives aimed at reaching or exceeding net zero.
